As the book says: If something odd is going to happen, it's going to be during a kick. This book covers every type of kick including force, muffs, first touching. It's helpful for new officials who are learning the nuances of the kicking game to veteran officials who benefit from reminders.
I found this book helpful as I'm returning to football officiating after a hiatus. I'm glad i have this along with the NFHS rulebook as I missed some of the quiz questions. The book explains what and why, including if there's a penalty, where.
I will be honest: I haven't yet cracked open the DVD to see what's on there. However, even without the DVD (and whatever might be on there), this book is invaluable.
